DREW’S STORY

To know Drew David was to love him. He was full of life and had enough love to share with each and every soul he touched. In his short 17 years, Drew accomplished so much. He loved life and lived each day to its fullest.  Drew’s high school principal said it best, “Drew loved life. Every day he had a smile on his face. Every day he rung all he could out of the day. At the end of the day he must have been tired cause he had a great time with every day.”

Drew was a starting wide receiver for the Camden High School Bulldog football team. He also took the field as a Camden High School baseball player as a pitcher and third baseman.  While he devoted much of his time to the athletic fields, he also always made time to brighten someone’s day.  Drew truly enjoyed life with not only his brothers by blood, but his brothers by friendship. Drew was the type of person that could do anything he set his mind to accomplish. He had an ear for music and taught himself to play the guitar and the piano beautifully.

Drew lost his life to a tragic car accident that left him brain dead. His family and many friends learned during the darkest of times that Drew had checked the organ donor box at a tender young age of only 16 years old. There was no question how the family would honor his wishes. Drew saved 4 lives and provided sight for another. His family never left his side until the very last moment where he was cheered on to do his last big play, saving lives.
