ABIGAIL’S STORY

Abigail Robinson was an amazing 11-year-old from Forest Grove, Oregon. She loved to dance, sing, paint, make fairy houses, hang out with her friends, participate in girl scouts, play the trombone, act, and spend lots of time with her family. Abigail's dream for her life was to be on tv one day, either as a singer, or through her love of acting. She always lived life to the fullest and shared love and joy with everyone who had the privilege of meeting her. She was truly an incredible human being.

Due to a tragic hit and run accident, Abigail and her little sister, Anna (6), went to Heaven on Oct. 20, 2013. Before leaving this earth, Abigail was able to donate her kidneys, liver, corneas, and tissues. In the time of deep suffering and shock, Abigail's family choose to donate Abigail's organs. This was an easy decision based on how giving Abigail was to those around her. She was always the first in her family to want to help others.

Her family connected with the Donate Life Northwest community at a 2014 Threads of Life quilt square workshop, 4 months after their daughters went to Heaven. Every person they have met through their journey has been a blessing. Knowing that Abigail's gift of life changed the outcome of those she blessed with her organs, has brought peace to her family and friends in the midst of their unimaginable loss.

Abigail's legacy is rooted in the love and joy she, and her little sister, brought to so many while here on earth. Her family and friends celebrate their lives daily, by sharing love and joy with others in their honor and remembering the gift of life Abigail gave to others through her donations.

Abigail's family is thrilled that her lifelong dream of being on tv is finally coming true as an honoree on the Donate Life Rose Parade float. Abigail has accomplished so much in her 19 years on earth and in Heaven. Her family is so proud of her.
