Jennifer was born April 14, 1989 in Mission Viejo, CA. She captured her family’s hearts from the very beginning with her beautiful soft spirit, her grace, and her ability to connect with other people. Her eyes were an incredible, beautiful blue color, hair streaked with golden blonde strands, and a smile that would warm your heart. Jennifer had a lifelong passion for animals and loved horseback riding. She also had a remarkable talent for expressing herself through her creative writing. Unfortunately, Jennifer experimented with marijuana in her early teens and progressed to other drugs as time passed. She was just out of rehab, when she died of an accidental overdose. Her family decided to donate her organs. Thanks to this gift, Jennifer’s kidneys gave a second chance at life to two men in Arizona, and her liver helped save the life of a man from Inglewood, California.

Jennifer’s Story

Jennifer was born April 14, 1989 in Mission Viejo, CA. She captured her family’s hearts from the very beginning with her beautiful soft spirit, her grace, and her ability to connect with other people. Her eyes were an incredible, beautiful blue color, hair streaked with golden blonde strands, and a smile that would warm people’s hearts.

Jennifer had a lifelong passion for animals and loved horseback riding. She spent hours on weekends helping with horse lessons, cleaning the stable, and riding. It was so enjoyable to watch her take command of and be free with these majestic animals in the arena. She also possessed a remarkable talent for expressing herself through her creative writing. She loved to read and achieved high grades in elementary and middle school.

Unfortunately, Jennifer experimented with marijuana in her early teens and progressed to other drugs as time passed. She eventually became addicted to heroin and meth and was in rehab twice during the last two years of her life. She was discharged from rehab on October 27, 2010, and accidentally overdosed on heroin and meth later that day.

Jennifer was placed on life support and in 24 hours was declared brain dead. Her family decided to donate her organs. Being a registered nurse, her mother understood the importance of giving life to others. On October 30, 2010, Jennifer’s kidneys gave a second chance at life to two men in Arizona, and her liver helped save a man from Inglewood, California.

Her family has since met Jennifer’s liver recipient and his family, who are so grateful for having a second chance at life. He calls Jennifer his angel. His wife feels she met Jennifer’s presence in the hospital church the morning before she even knew her husband was going to receive a liver transplant later that day. Jennifer’s soul grew to maturity in a fraction of the time it takes most people to mature. Thanks to her donation and in spite of her personal struggles, she finally found a higher power that guided her beautiful spirit home.
