Anna’s name means “grace” and that is exactly what she brought to others each day. She deeply believed that God had a purpose and plan for her life, and even in life’s disappointments, she was able to quickly pick herself up and overcome adversity with joy. Anna was filled with grace, joy, perseverance, resolve, patience, and love. She loved her family and her siblings, and she enjoyed playing piano and sharing her passion for music with others. As a proud Texan, Anna loved horses and she enjoyed riding her two horses, and volunteering at SIRE, a therapeutic horse riding organization.

She attended Lone Star College with the goal of working at a large animal vet clinic. At the time of her death, she was working as a wrangler at Cypress Trails Equestrian Center. Anna died when she was 24 because of a brain injury, after being thrown from a horse. Her family takes comfort in knowing she died doing something she deeply loved. Upon her death, it was only fitting for her family to honor her selfless spirit by saying ‘Yes’ to donating her organs, giving a second chance at life to five people in need.

Anna’s Story

Anna’s name means “grace” and that is exactly what she brought to others each day. She encouraged us in her ability to love with a pure heart, to forgive quickly, and to never hold a grudge. She deeply believed that God had a purpose and plan for her life, and even in life’s disappointments, she was able to quickly pick herself up and overcome adversity with joy.

Anna loved her family with all her heart. They were always blessed by her selflessness, her sweet ways and her love for music that was shared in the many hours of piano playing. She cherished her older brother, and experienced tremendous joy when her faithful prayers were answered with the adoptions of her two younger sisters from Russia and China.

As a proud Texan, Anna loved horses which involved riding her own two horses, volunteering at SIRE (a therapeutic horse riding organization), attending Lone Star College with the goal of working at a large animal vet clinic, and working as a wrangler at Cypress Trails Equestrian Center.

Anna understood well that this life is short, and she found joy and blessing in living by giving her life away for others.

Anna died at 24 years old as a result of a brain injury, after being thrown from a horse. Her family takes comfort knowing she died doing something she loved. Because of her wholehearted faith in Jesus Christ, they rest knowing she is in Heaven.

On November 3, 2016, it was only fitting for Anna’s family to honor her selfless and sacrificial spirit by saying “Yes” to donating her organs giving a second chance at life to five people in need.
