Millicent Sue Zittritsch was a fun-loving, smart child; school was easy for her. She had an affinity for the beach, enjoyed going to live concerts and followed many bands. She loved all kinds of outdoor events and festivals. From childhood, Millie and her younger sister, Stephanie, were the best of friends.

Millie was a very supportive person and liked working with people who needed help. As a medical assistant, she got involved as a patients’ rights advocate, before she advanced up the ladder to various other positions in the field.

Millie had many friends from all walks of life. Getting together with friends and family, she was always there. She enjoyed going camping, and could always be counted on for a good time and great food. She had a knack for cooking new recipes and had taken several cooking classes.

On Feb. 25, 1998, Millie, age 33, died from a brain aneurysm and became an organ donor.

“Millie will always be missed by those who knew her, but she lives in our hearts,” said her mother, Shirleen King. “Her unexpected death has drawn our family closer and we have all signed up to become donors.”
