The family has met his heart and cornea recipients; the latter helped to raise fund for a new cornea machine dedicated in Jordan's memory. "We know Jordan lives on through you, his recipients," said his father Sean. "Only one word can truly describe Jordan…BEAUITFUL!"

Nicholas's Story

Nicholas "Jordan" Aucoin was a lifelong athlete starting with baseball at age five and continuing in high school as a three-year football letterman and answered to his endearing nickname, "CRAZY." Well-liked by his peers, Jordan had been elected Basketball Homecoming Senior Prince.

Jordan was a protective older brother of four siblings: sister Morgan, stepsister Lauryn, and stepbrothers Kyle and Bret. Jordan's three younger siblings instantly admired him. All five siblings were united by camping trips, holidays, school, sibling disagreements and apologies, birthdays, and more. Hunting, fishing and friendship were high priorities for Jordan, who brought back many deer, ducks, squirrels and fish. These are the times most remembered and valued when thinking of the time they all spent together.

On his 18th birthday, Jordan made a selfless, personal decision and became a registered organ donor. This was a decision Jordan made on his own when obtaining his driver's license. On November 18, 2010, Jordan was on his way to pick up his sisters from school when he was in a vehicular accident. He suffered severe head trauma and passed away two days later.

"Jordan's unselfish decision brings his family great joy and peace on the tough days," said his father Sean. Jordan's family has met Jordan's heart recipient, his cornea recipient, and their families. His cornea recipient was instrumental in raising funds for a Moria cornea machine which was dedicated in Jordan's memory in January 2014. All families have remained in very close contact with each other.

"We know Jordan lives on through you - his recipients," Sean said. "He will forever live in our hearts! Only one world can truly describe Jordan…"BEAUTIFUL!!!"
