- Transplant Living is a project of the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). This is a key site for both transplant recipients, candidates for transplant and those considering joining the waiting list.
- American Transplant Association provides educational programs and materials for transplant patients, caregivers, the general public and transplant professionals.
- TransWeb is a nonprofit educational website serving the world transplant community. Based at the University of Michigan, TransWeb features news and events, real people's experiences, the top 10 myths about donation, a donation quiz, and a large collection of questions and answers, as well as a reference area with everything from articles to videos.

- Transplant Recipients International Organization (TRIO) is an independent, not-for-profit, international organization committed to improving the quality of life of transplant candidates, recipients, their families and the families of organ and tissue donors. TRIO hosts local chapters to offer support and donor awareness activities.
- Transplant Living provides a full list of local support groups across the nation. This list includes both hospital-based and non-profit support groups
- Second Wind supports people considering lung transplant surgery or who are planning alternate treatments for respiratory disease. Their website is an opportunity to learn how others in same or similar circumstances have learned to cope with their diseases and even improved their quality of life.

- Organ recipients may write to their donor family by sending it to your transplant center, who will forward it to the Organ Procurement Organization who will in turn forward it to the donor family. Consider writing soon after transplant, as families sometimes move after losing a loved one and can no longer be reached. - The National Kidney Foundation's U.S. Transplant Games is a four-day athletic competition among recipients of organ transplants. Competition in the U.S. Transplant Games is open to anyone who has received a lifesaving organ transplant. Bone marrow recipients are also eligible to participate. As much as the Games is an athletic event that calls attention to the success of organ and tissue transplantation, it is also a celebration of life among recipients, donor families and affiliated professionals. The 2010 U.S. Transplant Games are July 30-August 4, 2010 in Madison, Wisconsin.
