- The National Kidney Foundation's Patches of Love, the National Donor Family Quilt, is an ever-growing memorial dedicated to those who gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. All donor families are invited to submit a quilt block.
- Local memorial quilts are sponsored by organ procurement organizations (OPO) across the nation. Visit the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO) member directory to locate your local OPO.
- Cornea Donor Families of Illinois, Michigan and Northwest Ohio are invited to join the Midwest Eye-Banks and Transplantation Center (MEBTC) to post an online tribute honoring the donor and the Gift of Sight she or he made possible.
- Many online memorials are available where you can post photos and information about your loved one, including Memory-of.com, Eternal Flames and Ultimate Tributes.


- Organ donor families can write a letter to the recipients of their loved one’s organs through the organ procurement organization that guided them through the donation process at the hospital.
